Meet Chad Derrick, one of our Project Managers for Derrick Building Solutions. Chad was born into the Derrick Companies family and has spent all his life learning the ropes, becoming one of the best PMs you’ll ever have on a commercial build!
- How did you first get involved in the Derrick Companies?
- “My dad told me to get a tool belt and start working.”
- What was your first impression of Derrick Companies?
- “These guys are good at what they do and I have a lot to learn.”
- What was your first memory of Derrick Companies?
- “Sitting in a skid steer pretending to drive it when I was 5.”
- What has surprised you most about working with Derrick Companies?
- “How much the employees care about their work. They will not stop until the client is truly happy.”
- If you could change one thing about Derrick Companies, what would it be?
- “I never really got to work with my Grandpa Bill. I think that would have been a blast.”
- What do you wish other people knew about Derrick?
- “They have a world class cabinet shop.”
- What’s your claim to fame while working at Derrick?
- “I have appeared in more company videos than anyone else and yet I’ve not seen a cent for my time.”
- What might someone be surprised to know about you?
- “I’m a big Neil Diamond Fan. I can sing a mean Sweet Caroline.”

- “Marine Biologist”
