School districts received an overall accountability rating ranging from zero to 100 on the 2013-2014 Hudson District Report Card. The lowest score ranged from zero to 52.9 (fails to meet expectations) and the highest score ranged from 83-100 (significantly exceeds expectations). The Overall Accountability Score is an average of priority area scores. The priority area includes student achievement, student growth, closing gaps and on-track and postsecondary readiness. Hudson School District received an exceeds expectations in the 2013-2014 Hudson District Report Card, with an overall accountability score and rating of 76.5 percent. Hudson ranked 79.7 out of 100 in the student achievement category reading achievement and mathematics achievement). The overall score surpassed the state score by 13.3 points. Student growth came in with a score of 69.0 out of 100, compared to an overall state score of 62.4 out of 100. This category comprised of reading growth and mathematics growth. Hudson School District received a 64.5 score in the closing gaps category (reaching achievement gaps, mathematics achievement gaps and graduation rate gaps). Hudson also outshined the rest of the state in the on-track and postsecondary readiness category with an overall score of 92.9 out of 100, compared to the state score of an 85.3. This category was broken down by graduation rate, attendance rate, third grade reading achievement, eighth grade mathematics achievement and ACT participation and performance. Hudson’s graduation rate score was 39.2 out of 40, outscoring state rankings by 3.2 points. The overall attendance rate was 38.7 out of 40, compared to a state rate of 37.2 out of 40.
